About Us

I've lived it. Then I trained to help others.

When I retired, I trained as a life coach. Coaching looks forward. Counselling often looks back. I do the looking forward.

Why Will This Work?

I’m Phillipe Walker. My formal background is in nursing, HIV care and infectious diseases, and I later taught end-of-life care at university. Over the years, I’ve worked extensively with people at the end of life, and that experience has shaped how I understand grief, loss, resilience, and what it means to keep going.

I’ve spent a lifetime sitting with people through some of the hardest moments of their lives.

I’ve lost two partners, the second just a week before I was due to retire. I’ve also been through difficult financial times and had to start over more than once. Those experiences don’t define me, but they have shaped the way I listen, support, and understand the men I work with.

I work online because most men I speak to prefer it that way. There’s something about having a screen between us that creates just enough distance to make honest conversations feel easier. It allows people to open up in a way they sometimes can’t in the same room.

I believe men should go through whatever they’re facing because of who they are, not because of what they are. That’s the work I do, and it’s why I do it.

What this actually is

Men Don’t Cry is 1:1 emotional support for men who are struggling to process what they’re feeling.

This is NOT:

  • traditional therapy
  • generic advice or motivation
  • passive content or videos

This IS:

A structured space where you actively work through what you’re carrying with support and direction.

You are not being analysed — you are being supported.
